Hi, I’m MaryBeth! I am a wife and stay-at-home mother to four little boys living in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
I am a woman who thrives in delicious and nutritious food. For much of my adult life, I have struggled finding a balance between using food as fuel and consuming food for pleasure. I have come to find a more peaceful relationship with food by introducing more protein rich foods and eating 5 small meals each day. I enjoy cooking easy and healthy recipes at home for my children and husband. While we love to eat out occasionally, I cook or organize nearly all breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks. I meal plan to keep grocery bills low and make mealtimes more relaxed.
I am a woman who thrives in an active lifestyle. Over the last few years, I have found the one thing that completely fulfills me – running. While, I am the occasional yogi and enjoy other outdoor activities, running is a constant part of my life. In 2016, I ran hundreds of miles, regularly pushed my kids in a double and single jogging stroller, and consistently ran, injury free, from 8-weeks postpartum (I regularly ran to 32 weeks pregnant with our fourth child born November 25, 2016). One of the highlights of my year was running Ragnar Great River in August. I am through and through a ragnarian. No other event in the year completes me as much as Ragnar! I trained and finished my first marathon, the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon, on October 9 with my husband Pete, who is also a runner. Whether it’s 5 degrees or 95, raining or snowing – I love to run outdoors, on the track, and on the treadmill. The positive mentality I achieve while running starts to apply to the other areas of my life where I feel less confident. I find myself more content, satisfied, accomplished, and determined.
I am a woman who thrives in the company of her family and friends. I have been extremely blessed to have a loving and supportive husband whom I married in 2008. Together, we have four happy little boys ages 6.5, 5, 3 and 1 years old. I live in close proximity to my immediate family and have a close relationship with my parents and siblings, grandparents, aunts, and cousins. I also love my out of town in-laws, who, only make it easier to love their son.
I am a woman who thrives in the smallest adventure. As a stay-at-home mom, I am constantly challenging myself to do as much as I can with my kids. Whether it is taking them to the park or engaging them in a craft, it is important my children involve their brains in our day. I also like to experience the attractions of Minnesota and support local businesses and creatives.
